Marguerite H. Anderson, 83, of Janesville passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Cedar Crest Health Center. Marguerite was born in Beloit on January 20, 1931, the daughter of James J. and Cecelia Murphy. She grew up in Beloit and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. She married Keith D. Anderson on April 19,1958. Following graduation from high school  Marguerite went to work as secretary in the Beloit Boy Scouts office. She later was employed as personal secretary for the city manager of Beloit, Archie Telfer. After moving to Janesville she was a secretary at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church for several years and was later employed as a foster parent by the Rock County Social Services Department for 20 years.  Her home served as a receiving home for the department for many of those years.
Surviving are three children, James (Judy) Anderson of Columbia City, IN, Barbara (David) Wyatt of Cadiz, KY, Daniel Anderson of Janesville, one grandson, Lukas Anderson of Cadiz, KY, three sisters, Dorothy Murphy, Rita Murphy and Sarah Kramer. Her husband, Keith Anderson died on April 14, 2012. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles J. Murphy.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Rev. Bruce Gray officiating. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum
